Hello! Yes, that's right - I am still here! :) I really need to dust off this blog... perhaps this is a start! Asher looked so cute last night - had to snap a few pictures, which led to this layout. Pretty simple, as I wanted the emphasis to be on the photos. The journaling (around the smaller photos) tells of the little scare we had this week when one of his tests wasn't quite normal. Upon further testing, all is well - and he is doubly precious to us for the worry.

I was looking through photos a few nights ago, and this layout sort of fell together... :)

I wanted to give Mike a more personalized box of candy this year, so I decided to cover my own! First, I found a box of good chocolates - harder than you might think! I actually looked through to find one with a lid that wasn't quite perfect, since I planned to cover it up anyway! (Rite Aid - you can thank me later!)
Only the bottom/inside were shrink-wrapped, so I was able to remove the lid without opening the interior wrapping. (Too bad really, I might have taste-tested the candy.)
I traced the lid on some Harley Davidson scrapbook paper, trimmed to fit, and adhered. I found the logo in my box of Harley paraphenalia - it is cardboard, I think cut from a shoe box! I trimmed along the outline, and painted with Glimmer Glaze to give it some shine. I cut a piece of orange cardstock to back it so it would stand out a little more.
I added the ribbons and cards (all hearts), used pop-dots under the logo for depth, and adhered to the box. Done! I think Mike got a kick out of receiving a very unique box of chocolate for Valentine's Day! :)
Had to capture the kids- of the two and four-legged variety - that we love!

We had such a great time with our family in Minnesota that I wanted to make an album to showcase all of the photos! I used a template album and "itty bitty date tags" by BioGraffitti, the Vagabond kit by One Little Bird, and family wordart by Paislee Press. I am printing the pages in 8x8 and using a red leather Pioneer album.
Here are my pages! (The borders of the pages are white, about an inch or more beyond the borders.)
I repeated the elements from the Vagabond kit throughout, noting highlights of each day, and adding some "Trip Trivia" - just silly things I didn't want us to forget.
This idea was "cooler" in my head, but I still like how it turned out... as Mike and I were out and about on his birthday, I snapped pictures of signs around us. I used the letters in the signs to spell happy birthday on his card...
