It has been a long time since I posted - I was too busy *making* things! :)
My main project for the last few months has been a Family History Album. I signed up for the class at JessicaSprague.com - she provides a digital kit, templates, and guidance. I finally finished my album (several weeks after class ended), and it is lovely - but here are the best things about this project--
1. I "found" family members that I never knew before I started digging in. I am so thankful for Facebook, as we are now in touch with several cousins that we had lost contact with.
2. My "new" cousins sent me photos of my grandparents and great-grandparents - and great-great-grandparents. I was so moved by these photos - they are a treasure.
3. In order to find more information on a particular branch of the family, I signed up for Ancestry.com - really loving this website and all of the documentation I am finding!
4. Since it was digital, I was able to make copies for my parents, my brother, my aunt - and if I find more information, I can easily update and reprint any page that I want!
5. I know I said it once already, but the album is lovely - Jessica did a great job as always with the layout and the kit provided. I used the embellishments sparingly, as I wanted the focus to be on the photos.
My album is 36 pages - this is because I added "Pedigree" pages for each great-grandparent. I will try to share them all, but will do so in multiple posts - here goes! :)
I used chocolate brown fabric-covered albums with the following image in the window on the cover (about 3.5x3.5):
Title page: (All pages are 12x12, printed in 8x8.)
My Family Tree:
My Pedigree:
I did four pages for my parents and each set of grandparents and great-grandparents.

Next post - grandparents! :)
