Yes, I am still working on Mother's Day gifts!  :)  Thought I would share this one... the pages are 6" tall, and the book will be almost 11" long.  (I needed the height for my project.)

His & Her Mini Album (Cricut Design Studio Cut File)

I saw this collection of paper and stickers at Scrapbook Destination in Denver and snapped it up, thinking it would make a great "something" for Mike for Valentine's Day!

I used the Going Places cartridge to design the pages.  The rounded squares (with and without couple) and the arrow are all standard shapes on the cartridge.  I welded some shapes together to make the "rounded edge" and "octagon" pages.  The cut file is at the end of the post if you're interested!

I am not quite finished yet - I have a cool transparency that I want to work into the book and some other items, but I thought I would share what I have so far.

For the cover, I cut the shape with the couple silhouetted and then cut another rounded square to back it.  I sprinkled a few black beads on the silhouettes and filled in with Diamond Glaze.

LOVE Word Book - Cricut Design Studio

 

This is the 6x12" Love book that I posted last year.  Someone pointed out that the left edges of each page were over the "line" on the mat, so the Cricut would not cut them out.  I did that on purpose, since I wanted the full length of each page.  I have adjusted the left margins on the attached, so they will cut for you!  :)

BABY Word Book - Cricut Design Studio

I wanted to make something special for a couple of friends who will be having babies soon, so I designed another BABY book, this time using Storybook to make it a little fancier.  :)  I will post pictures when I get them cut out and embellished!

GRANDKIDS Word Book

I finally finished the GRANDKIDS books that I posted about some time ago!  (These are for someone else to give as gifts.)

 

 

  

I cut both of these from cereal boxes using the GRANDKIDS cut file I offered in a previous post.  I also cut the patterned paper to cover both sides.  I painted the edges of the pages and the photos, then embellished.  I think they came out pretty cute!  :)
