Minnesota Album - Friday & Saturday

We had such a great time with our family in Minnesota that I wanted to make an album to showcase all of the photos!  I used a template album and "itty bitty date tags" by BioGraffitti, the Vagabond kit by One Little Bird, and family wordart by Paislee Press.  I am printing the pages in 8x8 and using a red leather Pioneer album.

Here are my pages!  (The borders of the pages are white, about an inch or more beyond the borders.)

I repeated the elements from the Vagabond kit throughout, noting highlights of each day, and adding some "Trip Trivia" - just silly things I didn't want us to forget.

 

 

Mountain Trails - Layout

Mike had a great time riding through the mountains in North GA and Tennesee last week.

Road Trip - Layout

In Jessica Sprague's Pen Tablet class, we created this layout with her template/patterned papers.  With the pen tablet, I added the "scallop" trim on the edges of the patterned paper and drew the dotted line on the map.

Oklahoma City National Memorial

I am in OKC this week, and I was able to visit the OKC Memorial this evening - it is a truly beautiful place and very moving.  More photos on my Flickr page...

There's no place like home!

I traveled out to Southern California and back this week...

• Flight time = 4 hours and 55 minutes (that's one way)
• Window seat on the way out, dude in front of me leaned his seat back, and I had work to do - picture me, with my laptop open so that the screen was on my lap, and the keyboard on my chest.  Comfy.
• Upon arriving in CA, I did get a red convertible - nothing fancy (Toyota) - but a convertible none the less!
• Drove to Hesperia, and work, work, work.
• On Tuesday evening, got to put the top down and drive from Hesperia to Ontario, which was actually very nice.  The drive is through and around the mountains/valleys, so lots of pretty scenery.  (Which I did not take pictures of while I drove!!)  (Mike says I can't do that anymore.)
• Stayed at a no-tell motel... you really can't base hotel decisions by price in Cali...
• Got up at 4 AM and winged my way home (4+ hours)

The mountains in Southern CA are pretty this time of year... 

I did complete 4 scrapbook layouts while I was there - one of Chelsea & Mark, and three for the Neaveh album that I am working on.  (Lisa invited me to take the photos of Chelsea and Mark before the dance, and I just had to scrap a couple.)  Check 'em out on my Flickr page.
